BestPack carton sealers come in all shapes and sizes. But unpacking them is generally the same.
1. Position the crate in a large, uncluttered area to unpack the machine.
2. Lift and remove the corrugated box.
3. Remove the bubble wrap.
4. Remove the shipping anchors on the four legs.
5. Lift the machine from the pallet using properly rated cord.
6. If the casters are attached, the machine can be moved manually and rolled to the proper location.
Refer to the Setup Procedure in your manual for the most up to date information.
Example shown is of the MSD22 Setup Procedure:

A.) Wipe down the cutting blades with a clean rag to remove any glue and plastic film that may adhere to the blade.
*For stubborn accumulation, use WD-40 onto rag and wipe the blade clean*
B.) Apply oil to the blade guard to lubricate the blade. This keeps the adhesive from sticking to it.
Check the tension knob on the mandrel to see how the tape looks.
A.) Tighten Tension – Turn the knob right. Make sure not to make it too tight as it will stretch the tape tabs and the carton will not hold.
B.) Loosen Tension – Turn the knob left. If the tension is too loose adjust according.
Blow the machine down with dry air paying special attention to all moving parts.
Check the water trap for water. If water is collected in the trap, clear the trap.
A.) Check the front rubber roller on the tape head for proper resistance.
B.) Replace if needed.
*Note: If the clutch in the roller is not functioning properly, the tape will wrap around the roller.*
A.) Check the knurled roller for adhesive build-up.
B.) If there is build-up present, clean the adhesive build-up from the blade by spraying WD-40 onto the rag and wiping the roller.
